About Us
Award-winning Nashville based production company.
Cat Scratch Productions was first founded in 2023 when the five founders were on the verge of graduating from college. Throughout their years in school together, they had all connected through a desire to find an inclusive group of people to make films with. Since then, they have set out to make that a reality. Cat Scratch is committed to being a safe place for women and minorities to tell stories that reflect their lived experiences. Plus, we're committed to having a good time! The Team
Molly Boland
Molly is an alumna of Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Video and Film Production. She is currently a full-time morning news editor for NewsChannel 5 in Nashville, Tennessee. She spends her free time directing and editing narrative films with her friends. While in school her senior year she was awarded Best Director at MTSU’s SPARE Film Festival, and nominated for Best Director multiple times at the 54 hour Film Festival. In addition, she was awarded the Outstanding Senior Filmmaker award for the class of 2022. Since leaving school it has been her goal to direct more films and create more meaningful and challenging projects with her peers that they can all be proud of.
Jesse Davis
Jesse Davis is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Video and Film Production and currently works at a camera shop in Nashville, Tennessee. Jesse has been the cinematographer and director of multiple projects and has won a cinematography award at the SPARE Student Film Festival at MTSU for a project called Backwater. He loves writing and spends most of his free time making overly complicated scripts.
Maggie English
Maggie comes from a live production background including television, sports, theater, awards shows, and concerts. She currently works as a television director at RFD-TV. There she works on countless shows across the network, most of which have won multiple Telly awards. In the film world, Maggie loves working as a producer to help make other people’s dreams a reality. She also enjoys anything artist and loves helping in the Art Department in any way she can.
Gracie Sizemore
Gracie is a passionate library assistant with a real love for reading, storytelling, and pre-production work. She shines as both a producer and writer, creating stories that engage and inspire others. Gracie's dedicated to making projects that truly celebrate her cultural roots. Through her storytelling, she hopes to highlight diverse viewpoints and give voice to those often missing from mainstream media. Whether she’s writing a script or organizing pre-production tasks, she pours her heart into her work. She also enjoys collaborating with her friends and watching them thrive as they do what they love, creating things they're proud of.
Kinsey Wilson
Kinsey Wilson is currently a part time Studio Technician at RFD-TV. She attended Middle Tennessee State University for four years and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Video and Film Production with minors in Writing and Mass Communications. She’s worked on various short films throughout and after college, some of which were nominated for or won awards in the Nashville 54 Hour Film Festival and MTSU Spare Film Festival. She specializes in logistics and communication in filmmaking, with most of her experience being a First Assistant Director and Writer. She specifically has a passion for telling stories that are queer inclusive and focused on women’s experiences.
Pumpkin
Meet the Cat Scratch mascot, Pumpkin! If you look closely at our logo, you might find some similarities. Pumpkin is five years old. He's a whopping 18 pounds. He has IBS, but the vet says he's perfectly healthy. He wanted us to tell you that he loves tilapia and deli meat. He loves people, cuddles, and looking out the window. His common nicknames are Punka, Punka Pie, and Big Fat Boy. His mother is Molly Boland and he has a sister named Sushi.
